Recommended Workshop Conditions

Step-by-Step Installation Guide

1. Prepare the Busbars & Wires (Key Step!)

Locate the conductive busbars (usually copper strips at the top & bottom edges).
Peel back 3-5mm of the protective layer to expose the busbar.
Apply conductive silver paste (ensures strong electrical contact).
Pre-attach short wires (strip 5mm, solder or use crimp connectors).
Secure with Kapton tape (heat-resistant insulation).

⚠ Note:

Self-adhesive films often come with pre-attached busbars.
Non-adhesive films require manual busbar prep before mounting.

2. Measure & Cut the Film

Unroll the film on a clean, flat surface.
Measure glass dimensions +2-3cm extra for adjustments.
Cut using a sharp blade & straight edge.

3. Prepare the Glass Surface

Clean with isopropyl alcohol (70%+) and a lint-free cloth.
Ensure zero dust, grease, or residues (critical for adhesion).

4. Apply the PDLC Film

A) Self-Adhesive Film Method

Slowly peel the backing layer.
Align perfectly before sticking (use a squeegee to remove bubbles).
Apply firm, even pressure (center → edges).

B) Non-Adhesive Film Method

Spray adhesive solution evenly on the glass.
Carefully lay the film, avoiding wrinkles.
Use a soft roller to ensure full adhesion.

5. Electrical Connections & Testing

Connect wires to the power supply (usually 48V-110V AC).
Max terminal distance: 3-4 meters (longer = voltage drop).
Test for even dimming/brightening.
Use a heat gun (low setting) to fix minor wrinkles if needed.
